Ethics, morals and values are important in every aspect of life. When we say ethics automatically the things coming to our minds are good and positive. Every human being has ethics but again their ethical values depend on the thinking that what they consider to be good or appropriate in a particular situation or condition. A person can have individualism, utilitarian, moral rights and justice view of the ethical behavior. These are basically the four approaches on which the ethical behavior and actions of an individual are based.

In organizations also the ethical behavior is determined from amongst the given four approaches. The ethical behavior of an individual with his/her colleagues, managers, sub-ordinates will depend on the given situation. Again this behavior can convert into a negative one, when a person perceives or consider himself right whereas the reality is against it. In such conditions the ethical behavior turns out to be a dilemma and affects the relationship of an employee with others in the organization. A person is thinking that he is right and fair but for someone else it might be wrong and unfair.

When functioning in the real world it is the responsibility of every organization to take care of and work in accordance with the ethical and moral values. The organizations must make sure that no one is being harmed or badly affected by any of its operations or activities. This will not only create an image of the company as environmentally and socially responsible but will also give a positive and good image in the market. This no doubt will enhance its productivity and its standing in the global market will be strengthened. If an organization is ethically responsible it will have a direct impact on the behavior of the employees and they will also work in accordance to the rules and regulations and will perform their jobs well. A balance in the work and personal life of an employee can be made by being ethical.

To become a good corporate citizen and to use ethical behavior I will definitely ensure that all my deeds and actions are in accordance with the policies of the organization. All my actions and reactions will be in compliance with the company’s rules and regulations but again here it is necessary that my ethical values are similar with that of the company’s. I believe in the fact that if you’ll do well you’ll receive well; therefore I’ll try to be very responsible and keep my mind and heart open to act positively. This will not only enhance my output rather I myself would be satisfied. I also believe in ‘live and let others live’ and this is only possible if everything is done sincerely and fairly as a result of such would always be a good one.
