Walden University NURS 3101 Issues and Trends in Nursing Week 1 Reflection

Reflections on Pursuing Advanced Nursing Education

As I started the journey to acquire my advanced nursing degree, the first week made me both excited and anxious. While preparing, I had the approach of a communication class. I used the strategy of finding and working on articles to formulate my answer and pedagogical works.

This has enhanced my appreciation for work and mastery. At the same time, I have come to realize the many hardships that nurses face in their daily professional practice. This perspective has made me realize how pursuing higher education fulfils my personal goals and inspires many within the field.

Advancing Nursing Education and Legacy

I am helping to close the gap for future generations of nurses by continuing my education and promoting nursing as an integral part of the multi-professional medical team. Although I sense some uncertainty about the shape of my courses and what will be required of me as a graduate student, I remain fully positive about taking this next step in a field that captivates me.

The readings from this week covered the $64000 issues and trends concerning nurses nationwide, which I found most interesting. I especially found it compelling to explore managed thinking, as demonstrated by the story of Florence Nightingale, which is similar to the idea of making a legacy map to offer a path and reason in the direction of one’s nursing career.

Creating a Legacy in Nursing Education

I personally appreciate the idea of legacy mapping because I have recently started a project that I hope will benefit my nursing career and serve as a healthcare tool in my community.

Part of my project is to create a postgraduate fellowship training centre for nurse practitioners in my country. To achieve this, I have begun the preliminary work of moving the ideas forward by initiating discussions with important people in the college health system, which has a school of nursing and a medical school.

Integrating Nurse Practitioners in Education

Incorporating nurse practitioners into the clinical and teaching practice of graduate medical and nursing students should create a positive learning environment for all participants, leading to effective professional collaboration and individual patient care outcomes.

Fostering Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Lasting Impact in Nursing

With the helpful resource of promoting a model of interdisciplinary schooling and exercise, I want to reinforce the nurse-medical doctor dating while enhancing healthcare transport in my region.

ultimately, I aspire to go away behind a sizeable contribution to the world of nursing—no longer for private recognition or accolades. Still, for the magnificent, lasting impact it can have on my community’s career and well-being. Like Florence Nightingale, who prioritized the wishes of others over personal success, I’m recommended through the selection to create sustainable change that enhances the brilliance of care and expert development in nursing.
