The Vroom-Jago decision model was proposed by Vroom and Yetton in 1973 and it was later revised by Vroom and Jago in 1988. The Vroom-Jago decision model is a rational model that helps decision makers to determine if they should take a decision by themselves or if they should involve the group and to what extent the group should be involved. The method includes 5 processes: autocratic 1, autocratic 2, consultative 1, consultative 2 and group 2. “The Vroom-Jago decision model uses a series of seven questions, asked in a specific order, to determine which of these five processes to use” (Decision-Making Confidence.com, n.d.).
